Meet lead instructor Leo

In this video, Leo shares a brief overview of the Wim Hof Method® (WHM) and introduces you to Heyford House.

Leo is a fantastic coach. His personal training background really helps to back up the physicality of the WHM. The venue worked really well. With an amazing outdoor space, plenty of areas to practice and speak, and an "ice beach" permanently set up ready for a dip!

03 · The Four Elements

Engaging with nature through guided movement, breathwork, and thermal conditioning, your team will leave equipped with the core practices needed for daily resilience.

↓ Explore the four elements

01 · The Wim Hof Method®

Breathwork

This specialised technique of conscious breathing and breath-holds is an effective practice, delivering immediate mental clarity and a tangible physical calm. With Leo safely guiding sessions, you’ll build confidence in the mechanics in a warm, supportive space. He ensures you remain fully in control, progressing at a pace that respects your personal limits, while providing simple, practical techniques you can use to lower stress whenever you need to.

Deliberate cold exposure

Deliberate cold exposure offers an immediate physical reset, building lasting resilience and training your daily response to high-pressure situations. Anchored by Leo’s expert direction, you will learn the vital skill of finding calm when your instincts signal panic. This is never a test of sheer endurance. Instead, he coaches you to recognise the spike of adrenaline and consciously guide yourself back to composure. He ensures you are fully supported and entirely in control of your limits, should you choose to take the plunge.

Mindset

This foundational pillar integrates the entire practice, transforming your experiences with the breath and the cold into lasting mental resilience. Drawing on Leo’s specialised training, you will learn to observe discomfort without immediate reaction, creating a vital sense of space between everyday stressors and your response. During relaxed, warming debriefs, he equips you with a practical toolkit to take home. He will show you exactly how to incorporate these techniques into your daily routine, helping you tap into your natural resilience to navigate daily demands with confidence.

Leo is an Advanced Instructor certified by the Wim Hof Method Academy and holds a St John Ambulance First Aid at Work certificate. You can check his credentials and read independent reviews on his official profile.

02 · Specialised breathing

Breathing dictates how your body produces energy and manages stress. By consciously altering how you breathe, you gain a direct, measurable way to regulate your physical and mental baseline.

In this session, your team will learn the Wim Hof Method breathing exercises, providing an accessible way to support daily resilience and mental clarity.

In this workshop, your team will learn:

Physiological control: How to use the breath to actively lower stress and support better physical recovery.

A customisable practice: How to adjust breath count, tempo, and rounds to deepen the relaxation response, allowing each person to find a routine that works best for them.

High-efficiency wellbeing: A straightforward practice that requires only a few minutes to complete, yet delivers a measurable, long-lasting impact on daily focus and resilience.

03 · The Four Elements

Choosing the tranquil surroundings of Heyford House over a predictable corporate venue invites a fresh perspective, giving your team the breathing room to settle into the present and learn how to build physical and mental resilience. Rooted in Leo’s lifelong connection to the house and surrounding countryside, this format embraces the simple truth that we are at our best when we connect with the natural world, setting the tone for the day as you explore:

Air: Finding the space to breathe. This session allows you to feel the immediate, grounding effects of breathwork outdoors.

Earth: Movement that roots you in the landscape. Drawing on his years as a personal trainer, Leo guides you through activities like orienteering and non-contact boxing. It is less about breaking a sweat and more about the sense of calm that comes from stepping outside and interacting with the open environment.

Water: Building resilience through deliberate cold exposure. Choose from the indoor ice baths, the outdoor plunge pool and shower or, conditions and expert availability permitting, experience a wild swim in the nearby River Cherwell.

Fire: Harnessing heat for physical recovery. Leo applies his knowledge of thermal conditioning in the outdoor wood-fired saunas, teaching you the benefits of alternating between heat and cold to support physical recovery.

By engaging with the four elements, your team will have built a foundation they can rely on long after they leave.

A personal note from Leo

Investing a day to learn practices that sit entirely outside your usual daily routine is a significant step, but also an incredibly rewarding one. I am here to guide your team through that process, ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported throughout.

My focus is on safety, clear instruction, gentle encouragement and expert support. Whether we are moving through the landscape or stepping into an ice bath for the first time, there is no forced enthusiasm, no pressure to perform, and nobody is ever pushed beyond their capability. Instead, the peaceful setting allows your team to take things at a pace that feels right for them.

Whilst I have outlined three distinct formats, look at them simply as a starting point for our conversation. I will work with you to shape the agenda around your team's specific objectives, whether we follow a single format closely or draw from across the options.

To help your team maintain their momentum after our day together, I offer 30 days of free nudge coaching via a private, optional WhatsApp group that people can join on their personal phones.

Every offsite also features food freshly prepared on-site by my wife Sonya, an award-winning chef.
