Venue, catering and logistics

When you book Heyford House for a corporate awayday, We want your planning process to be as seamless as the day itself. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of our venue capabilities, catering and logistics.

The venue at a glance

  • Capacity: Maximum of 12 team members for sit-down meetings and awaydays.
  • Exclusivity: Complete privacy with exclusive hire of the venue.
  • Access Hours: Flexible access from 09:00 through to 21:00.
  • Accommodation: 4 double rooms available on-site (3 can be configured as twins, 1 is strictly a double).
  • Food & Drink: In-house catering with dietary requirements managed pre-arrival, plus complimentary tea, coffee, and drinks available throughout the day.
  • AV & Tech: 50" TV provided as standard for presentations, with bespoke AV equipment available to hire upon request.
  • Connectivity: Fast, stable broadband (approx. 46 Mbps) running on a full mesh network.
  • Transport: A 5-minute walk from Heyford Station. Bicester stations are a 10 minute taxi ride, Banbury station is a 15-minute taxi ride, and Oxford station is a 30-minute taxi journey.
  • Parking: On-site parking for 5 vehicles directly outside the front door, with ample overflow parking available.
  • Accessibility: Flat ground-floor access with an optional ramp available upon request. Please note: due to the historic nature of the property, the downstairs toilets are not fully wheelchair accessible.

Versatile meeting and breakout spaces

The main meeting room

This room comfortably seats 12 people around the table for your core sit-down sessions. It is highly adaptable; the table can be reduced in size or we can change to theatre style. We can also configure it with 4 tables of 2, 3 or 4

The living room

Comfortably accommodates a dozen people. It features a traditional open fire and is highly flexible; we can move the furniture around to accommodate a couple of groups of 4/6 or make it one big group or it works well as just a useful breakout room.

The library

A fantastic space that can take a round meeting table for 6 people or even a couple of armchairs in front of the fire.  It is a private room with a door, making it perfect for confidential breakout sessions. We can reconfigure the room to suit

The kitchen

An excellent breakout space that can be isolated with doors, ensuring total privacy. We can seat 10/12 in the kitchen as well for a separate dining area away form the main meeting room. Alternatively, the table can be raised to "island height" for stand ups, or pushed aside entirely to act as a spacious buffet serving area.

The terrace

Weather permitting, the terrace easily accommodates 12 people. It has a total seating capacity for 28 people, featuring one large table for eight and five smaller tables seating four each

The gardens and marquee hire

 In addition to the terrace, we have extensive grounds. Because we regularly host weddings, we are highly experienced with larger outdoor setups and can arrange to have a marquee up in the garden should you wish to take your awayday completely outdoors

Catering and dietary care

Corporate awaydays require food that fuels focus, rather than inducing an afternoon slump. Chef Sonya Kidney, brings a lifetime of culinary expertise to the table. A pioneer of the UK gastro-pub revolution, she wrote for The Guardian, led some of the Cotswolds' most celebrated kitchens, and now leads the kitchen here at the house.

The menu

Sonya crafts lighter dishes using fresh, often local ingredients to nourish your team without overburdening digestion, never compromising on flavour.

All-day refreshments

Complimentary tea, coffee, and drinks are freely available throughout the day to keep your team energised.

Seamless dietary management

Sonya manages her own specific dietary requirements, she understands the importance of getting it right. Every guest’s needs are catered for safely, strictly, and to the same premium standard.


We remove the administrative burden from organisers completely. All dietary requirements, severe allergies, and preferences (from vegan to gluten-free) are captured directly from your team members via our secure pre-arrival questionnaire.

Meeting and workshop equipment

We provide the essential tech required to run a seamless corporate awayday, with the flexibility to scale up if your agenda demands it.

Display and presentations

A 50" TV is provided as standard in the main meeting room for your core presentations. If your session requires bespoke AV equipment, we can hire and configure exactly what you need prior to your arrival.

Flipcharts and stationery

We supply a standard flipchart, paper, and complimentary pens so your team can capture ideas instantly. We will happily discuss any additional materials or specific stationery needs you might have during the planning stage.

Wi-Fi

The house is equipped with fast, stable broadband (approx. 46 Mbps) supported by a full mesh network. This ensures reliable, uninterrupted coverage across all your indoor breakout spaces.

Wellness facilities, safety and compliance

Because our awaydays incorporate physical resilience practices, we hold ourselves to the highest safety and compliance standards. This ensures your HR and legal teams have total peace of mind before booking.

Resilience and recovery facilities

Your team will have access to our purpose-built physical training and recovery areas as part of their guided sessions:


The Ice and heat: Two temperature-controlled indoor ice baths for guided cold exposure, alongside two wood-fired saunas and a dedicated plunge pool.


The gym: A dedicated training space located in a classic Victorian greenhouse.


Seamless transitions: An outdoor cold shower and dedicated outdoor changing facilities ensure comfortable, private transitions during the physical elements of your day.

Safety and corporate compliance

Insurance: We hold £5 million in public liability insurance. This policy explicitly covers all our activities, including the gym, cold exposure therapy, breathing sessions, and spa facilities.


Health waivers: A secure digital health waiver is integrated into the pre-arrival questionnaire alongside the dietary requests. This ensures we safely understand every team member's medical baseline before they step foot on the property.


On-Site safety & first aid: Leo is a fully certified First Aider. Additionally, we maintain a fully stocked first aid kit and an on-site defibrillator. The property is strictly monitored with a full wired alarm system, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors in all rooms and corridors, a heat detector in the kitchen, and carbon monoxide detectors next to all open fires.
